Converged is a product available from Gamma, whereby Horizon (Gamma’s VoIP Platform) and Broadband are accessed via the same broadband service. Available as an FTTC or ADSL2+ circuit, depending on your business location.
A Cisco router is supplied as part of the managed service and depending on the nature of the contract, this will determine the costs of the router itself.
Included as part of the package is 1 x Static IP Address.
This is a business broadband service.
As a Gamma Broadband service, this is designed for use with the Gamma Horizon VoIP Telephony platform. Call Quality is guaranteed up to a certain number of phone users and concurrent calls to prevent issues such as packet loss and jitter.
The ADSL2+ Converged circuit is recommended for no more than 5 users. Whereas the FTTC Converged circuit can accommodate more employees using the Horizon VoIP platform and PC use, this would increase to 10-15 employees to maintain service quality throughout.
Gamma guarantee the call quality on the Converged service, only if the parameters are maintained and the service is not overloaded.
It depends which option you go for-ADSL2+ or FTTC. Most customers opt for the FTTC service on a 3-year contract as it proves to be more attractive commercially taking into account the router and the new handsets for the Horizon telephony service.
With this being a service managed by Gamma, there are SLA’s in place to ensure the service is back up and running within a certain time-frame.
